Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette with Swatches

If you are still undecisive about this palette, stop reading, and go purchase yours. This is the definition of awesome when it comes to eyeshadows and the mother of all matte palettes. I bought this palette in October and regretted all through the first week on not getting it when it launched. The shadows are buttery goodness and the pigmentation is out of this world. 

My initial hesitation stemmed from the color selection and i thought that they would not vary enough on my skin tone. Boy oh boy, was i wrong. Each color is unique and beautiful on its own.
The only downside is that the shadows can be powdery when a brush is dipped in them, but the pigmentation, softness and ease of use of this palette makes up for that.

MAC Cosmetics Lip Liners and Swatches

This year was no doubt really big for MAC cosmetics and their lip liners as the Kylie Jenner lip frenzy shined even more light on them. For the better half of this year, Soar, Whirl and their nude sisters were flying off the shelfs and were sold out on websites. And for good reason, these babies are pigmented and glide onto lips smoothly. I have to admit, before the craze, i only had one MAC lip liner in the color Beet, to compliment my Riri Heaux lipstick. I had so many other liners from NYX, Colourpop and many other drugstore brands and could not justify the price tag on a MAC liner.

Well it was my graduation and my bf gave me free reins so i splurged and grabbed a couple colors i have had my eye on. Not to mention that Belk.com did the unspeakable and had a 10% off sale on all their cosmetics. This is a huge deal because MAC almost never goes on sale.

Enough rambling, unto the review. These babies are smooth and pigmented and the color selection is wide and varied. The only downside is the pricing, and at $16.50 a pop, i can get three colourpop liners. If you are able to get over the pricing, welcome to the world of ridiculously longlasting lip liners and an array of colors to complement all skintones.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick Review and Swatches

I got a notification on Instagram that the new NYX liquid lipsticks were online and available for purchase through their website. As a makeup junkie, i jumped right on it and ordered six of the colors that appealed the most to me. It took all of my will power not to order all the colors as i love NYX and their products and basically own all the other lip products they have.

And my favorite is of course, Soft Spoken. The perfect nude for me.

Now to the review : These apply like a soft mousse and take about five to ten minutes to dry down to a very comfortable matte. The only downside to these is that the wear-time is not as long as traditional liquid lipsticks. But for someone who hates the dryness and clingy feeling of liquid to matte lipstick, i say this formula is for you. Another great job NYX.
